Health & Safety Compliance

The province of Ontario holds roofing professionals accountable to strict health and safety standards. The Roof Maintenance Solutions Health & Safety plan was administered in accordance with the guidelines of the Ontario Ministry of Labour, the Workers Compensation Act, WHMIS and the Ontario Infrastructure Health & Safety Association. This plan ensures RMS’ accountability in its role as an employer in protecting and maintaining the overall well-being of the worker’s compensation system of Ontario. It was developed jointly by management, supervisors, employees, and prime contractors to ensure that all parties understand their own roles and the roles of others so they can work toward common health and safety goals.

RMS is committed to ensuring safe workplace practices and to providing employees with the information, training and company policies and procedures required to stay safe on the job.

The RMS Health & Safety Plan involves a seven step implementation process that ensures employees are current in their understanding of RMS Health & Safety Practices and their rights as employees to work in a safe and healthy environment.

RMS employee training complies with the standards and practices set out in the attached Ontario Safety Compliance Manual.

RMS is committed to ensuring safe workplace practices and to providing employees with the information, training and company policies and procedures required to stay safe on the job.
